Is the Hoover U5140-900 Tempo Widepath Upright Vacuum any good?

For your money then the Hoover U5140-900 gives you a wider cleaning path (15 inches) to help you get more cleaning done quicker, it cleans the air in the room at the same time with its allergen filtration system to help trap dust mites and pollen giving you a fresher room, you also get a dusting brush, furniture nozzle, crevice tool, and two extension wands to enable you to get to where you need it. It is lightweight and powerful too.

Now don't think this vacuum cleaner is perfect, for that price then you can't expect it to be, people do mention that it is louder than some other vacuums, and that the bags fill up quickly (you can get the bags for about $1 each) and you don't get as many fancy features or attachments as you would on a more expensive model, but if you just want a good, simple vacuum cleaner then this is a fantastic buy.
